Sanibel Real Estate Blog: April Stats

The overall housing market reported more salesĀ  and higher median prices in Florida. The statewide median price for a single family home in April was $259,470- up 2.7% from the previous year. The single family home sales reached 26,992 in April- that’s up 6.2% over April 2018.

How did we make out locally? Lee County Realtor Association reported a median price point for single family homes at $ 266,500- that’s up from the statewide number and also up from last year’s reported median price being $ 263,000 by 1.3%. WE were slightly down in closed home sales, selling 1362 single family homes in Lee County- that’s down 6.8% from April of 2018 when 1461 homes were sold.

Both number of condos sold and median price point were up in Lee County (823 in April 2019- 770 April 2018). The median price for condos statewide is now $ 194,500 and locally we are at $ 205,000.
